Biggest Landfill Of E-Waste In Ghana


When you throw away your old computer or laptop, do you ever think where it’s going? Ghana, India, Vietnam, Pakistan, China and Nigeria. It’s awful, but millions of tons of electronic waste from first world countries goes every year to these countries, mainly to Ghana. People there has therefore begun with illegal e-waste trade. 3000 people actually make a living out of selling everything from keyboards and computer monitors to old hard drives and TVs.

Inmate Hid 10-Inch Revolver In His Rectum

A man arrested in North Carolina may have stashed a .38 barrel revolver in his rectum, according to police, who reported that the unloaded 10-inch weapon was not discovered until after the suspect had been booked into a cell in the county jail. Michael Leon Ward, a 22-year-old Georgia resident, was arrested Monday after a trooper spotted him speeding.
Cage Homes in Hong Kong China

Cage homes have been around for a long time. They first emerged after World War II when hundreds of thousands of refugees from mainland China arrived in Hong Kong. Today, there are still 53,200 people living in cage and cubicle homes. Cubicle homes are apartments that are subdivided into tiny rooms separated only by flimsy plywood walls. Some of these are licenced and regulated by the government, but housing activists say that thousands more people, including single-parent families, refugees and recent immigrants, live in illegal cage and cubicle homes where conditions are particularly dire.
Lifesize Standing Stormtrooper Cake

The building of the Stormtrooper cake was an epic event in and of itself. It took our entire wonderful crew of ten people two full weeks of to put this guy together. Along the way we even had to invent completely new cake making methods so it could be put together modularly onsite, hold its fondant over long vertical stretches, and stand on two beautifully sculpted Rice Kripsy legs that supported his 300lbs body.
