Airline worker confuses bosses

Airline bosses rang a male worker to speak to him about his long hair and earrings - and found he had become a woman.
Malcolm Davidson, 44, was working as a man during the day but living as a woman called Marlene at home reports The Sun.

Don Darby, personnel manager of budget airline FlyBe, told a tribunal: “It was quite a shock when it was revealed. I was dumbfounded.”

Bosses met with Marlene to decide which toilets she should use - and agreed on the disabled loo.

But Marlene of Feniton, Devon, quit her job as an operations controller at Exeter airport, claiming sex discrimination. She insists she was was passed over for promotion and pay rises.

She also claims she was humiliated by other staff and her immediate boss who told her: “We don’t like people like you.”
FlyBe’s parent company Jersey European claims it had supported her. The Exeter hearing continues.
