Nudity Compulsory on Beaches
![]() | Nudism is allowed all over the French island of Ile-du-Levant, off the coast of Provence, except at the port and in the village square. A 1978 council decision makes nudism on the beach compulsory, enforced by the local dressed policeman whose job is to order some people to undress, and others to dress, depending where they may be.
“I’ve never had to hand out a fine, it’s all very friendly here,” said the officer, who asked not to be identified. |

I don’t like nudism on beach
I prefer to go of shorts
