Facts of religion
1- The Bible was written by over 40 authors over a period of 1500 years.
2- The famous Christmas song “Jingle Bells” was written for a Thanksgiving program in 1857 by James Pierpont. At the time, the song was called “The One-Horse Open Sleigh.”
3- The first translation of the Bible into English was in 1382 A.D., by John Wycliff.
4- There’s a temple in Sri Lanka dedicated to a tooth of the Buddha. The name of the temple is “Temple of the Tooth.”
Saw the temple. Saw the tooth. It’s enshrined in an over-ornamented gilt casket and it’s heavily venerated. The Buddha wouldn’t have approved of either practice actually. Moreover the tooth is probably a fake as the original -IF original it was-’disappeared’ (viz. was stolen) and ‘reappeared’ (viz. was ‘found’) during the last century. A false tooth so to speak. This sequence is usually hushed up.
