People eating dog meat in China face could face a fine of 5,000 yuan in the country’s first law against animal abuse. The draft legislation would also outlaw the consumption of cat meat, which is often served stewed with snake in a famous dish known as ‘Dragon and Tiger Fighting.’ Dog is believed to have warming properties and is popular stewed with turtle.
