Man killed by wife and daughters for prostitution
Guwahati (India): The Guwahati Daily newspaper reported that Nigar Sultana (46), Rabina Sultana (25) and Farhan Sultana (23) were driven to prostitution by extreme poverty and the man in the family paid the price with his life for trying to stop their “business”.
The incident occurred at Bokakhat, a small township in Upper Assam.
Acting on a tip-off, police dug out the semi-decomposed body of Rezzak from his backyard and arrested his wife and two daughters.
The inspector of police at Bokakhat, Mr Jyotirmoy Senapati, who is leading the police investigation, said the three accused have confessed to killing Rezzak on the night of 31 July with sharp weapons and burying his body in the backyard. They said they were forced to get rid of him to escape “physical and mental” torture inflicted on them by the deceased.
