Cook Finds Ring In Chicken Sauce
London - A man from Kent claims he found a ring worth £12 000 (about R140 000) in a container of cooking sauce.
Kevin Luetchford says he was cooking a meal for his girlfriend with Chicken Tonight sauce when he discovered the ring, reports The Sun.
He had the ring valued and was told it is 150 years old and worth £12 000.
Luetchford says he would like to track down the owner to return their ring: “This is likely to be a family heirloom. Someone must be frantic with worry.”
Unilever, which owns the manufacturer of Chicken Tonight, Knorr, said it was investigating how the ring got into the sauce.
