Digger World's Biggest Horse

From his high position in the stable yard, Digger has become used to looking down on the world.

Indeed, he is so high and mighty that his handler Lisa McFarlane is finding it hard to chart his exact size.

She is pictured here with her measuring bar which extends to 19 hands, and Digger stands well clear of the top.

Best estimates put the Clydesdale horse at 19 hands and two inches (6ft 6in) - on a par with Britain’s biggest living horse.
