Man Admits To Drinking Blood, Eating Flesh

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - A Swedish man who confessed to killing two women, drinking their blood and eating pieces of flesh from one of the victims has been charged with two counts of murder, police said.

The 29-year-old man, who was arrested in October on suspicion of stabbing the women to death in two separate attacks, was charged with Thursday after a series of psychiatric evaluations.

The suspect confessed to the killings, telling investigators he drank the women’s blood with hopes of “gaining their strength” and ate pieces of flesh stripped from one victim’s torso, said Anders Persson, police spokesman in the central city of Gavle.
