Meet the most polite burglar in the world...

Utrecht - A Dutch woman returned from a shopping trip to find the world’s most polite burglar in her home.

The 18-year-old had taken his shoes off at the door and left them under the stairs, reports Algemeen Dagblad.

And, as the woman walked inside her Utrecht home, he came down the stairs, shook hands and politely introduced himself.

The burglar claimed he had been looking for a “ball on the roof” and put on his shoes and left.

The woman, 41, called police who caught the man on his bicycle nearby and arrested him.

Nothing was taken from the woman’s house but the intruder had other charges of theft and entering houses without permission against him.
