NZ Woman Survives Train Running Over Her
A young New Zealander run over by a freight train as she lay between the tracks is “incredibly lucky” to be alive, a rail spokeswoman said.
The train was travelling at about 20 kph when the driver saw the woman lying down between the rails, said acting police Sergeant Mike Lawton of North Island’s Feilding police.
The driver was unable to stop the train before it went over the woman, he said.
“By the time he stopped the train and walked back down the line, she popped out from under the third wagon,” he added. Read Full Story
