Oldest Worker's First Sick Day
Britain’s oldest manual worker is off sick for the first time in his life.
Buster Martin, who is 100-years-old, has been told he must wait three months for an operation on an ingrowing toenail.
Mr Martin, who had never missed a day off work in his life, works as a mechanic for a London plumbing firm.
He said: “It’s incredibly frustrating not being able to work just because of an ingrown toenail. I can’t believe I have to take three months off work just because I can’t get an appointment at the hospital.” Read Full Story
