Policemen Learn That Crime Does Not Pay...

Sao Paulo (Brazil) - Even police officers are not exempt from the temptation of the gambling world, as was discovered when some officers were arrested after they were caught gambling illegally at a Sao Paulo bar.

But the irony lies in the fact that the crime fighters are from the division that fights illegal gambling.

They were caught playing illegal slot machines at Belas Artes bar in the centre of the city during work hours.

The officer in charge of the operations Rui Silveira Mello told Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper: “Only policemen who have ethics and morals can work here; the gamblers will be punished!”

The illegal machines have been removed and bar fined.
