Rescue Workers Faced with a Big Problem...
London - When Belgium’s largest man had a heart attack, emergency rescue workers were quick to arrive on the scene - but when they saw their patient, they knew getting him to hospital would take a very big effort.
Paramedics first called for a helicopter after Alain Delaunois, who is about 2,5m tall and weighs 203kg, fell ill at his house in Stavelot, according to reports in Het Laatste Nieuws.
But they couldn’t find a way to fit him in the helicopter, so they called for an ambulance instead - only to find he didn’t fit in the vehicle either.
Eventually, they found a way to get him into the ambulance and managed to get him into hospital, but here they encountered more problems.
