Skull found in purse
Nanaimo Mounties are investigating the discovery of a human skull in a lady’s handbag left at a bus stop.
Police say the skull was brought to the RCMP detachment late Tuesday night by a woman who found the handbag.
The skull has been sent to a forensic anthropologist at Simon Fraser University for examination.
Constable Jack Eubank says it’s not uncommon for people to stumble across ancient native burial sites.
