Woman dead in apartment for six months
ON the front door is a smiling Winnie the Pooh, but inside lay one of the most gruesome scenes police had come across.
For at least six months, a young Asian woman lay dead in her Canberra flat, but apparently nobody cared.
The woman, a student at the University of Canberra in her mid-to-late 20s, was found dead by police last Wednesday.
The woman’s body was in such an advanced state of decomposition, police can’t identify her.
Detective Sergeant Matt Innes said evidence at the scene indicated the woman was murdered.
